One of television industry’s hottest stars, Gautam Rode, who shot to fame with Star Plus’ popular serial Saraswatichandra, and other shows like Mahakumbh and Suryaputra Karn, among others, is finally tying the knot this Sunday ie February 4. Yes, you heard it right. The 40-year-old actor, got engaged to his Suryaputra Karn co-star Pankhuri Awasthy, in October last year. Pankhuri garnered popularity for her character on the show Razia Sultan, however, the two first met each other on the sets of Suryaputra Karn.
They had a small roka (engagement) ceremony in the presence of their family and near and dear ones. The couple had been discreet about their private life and denied all the rumours of them dating, until news of them getting engaged made headlines. Speaking about his fiancee, Gautam had said that he is very fortunate to have found a life partner in Pankhuri. As reported by a leading portal, Gautam and Pankhuri are all set to tie the knot on February 4, 2018.
We contacted Gautam asking for the confirmation of the same, but the actor has not responded yet.
Gautam and Pankhuri got engaged last year in October and that's when they opened up about their relationship. The two met on the sets of Suryaputra Karn.

Gautam has done several shows, and even a Bollywood film titled Aksar 2. The film was his debut film in Bollywood.
Well, that's not a cakewalk for the actor. In an interview, he was asked if he plans to eventually choose either TV or films, he said - "An actor can never plan. You never know what can work in your favor or not and then, maybe the whole dynamics can change. If films don’t work, you have to be realistic and keep taking up television projects."
Gautam, who has always been part of popular TV shows like Saraswatichandra, Mahakumbh and Suryaputra Karn, has always stayed away from saas bahu and reality shows. When asked about the reason, he said, "I don't feel like doing it as I think I won't be able to handle it. I don't like the idea of a reality show. It makes me like a student in school who is competing in a competition. Right now if you ask me if I am interested in doing a reality I would say no. I have been on the other side of it. I've hosted these shows and I know what goes into making it. But never say never as tomorrow, I don't know if I take up a reality show."
